Andrade, Rodriguez to Host Flu Shot Clinic and Community Health Fair

Sep 17, 2019

CHICAGO – State Rep. Jaime Andrade, D-Chicago, is teaming up with 33rd Ward Ald. Rossana Rodriguez to host a free flu shot clinic and community health fair on Friday, Oct. 4 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Brands Park, located at 3259 N. Elston Ave. in Chicago.

“Getting a flu shot helps protect the community, especially the most vulnerable members of our community who are medically unable to receive vaccinations,” said Andrade. “This is a good opportunity to come out and get a free vaccine to help stop the spread of the flu and stay healthy this winter.”

Andrade and Rodriguez’s flu shot clinic will also feature a community health fair to help connect residents to different health care organizations in the 33rd Ward. Andrade hopes residents will come to learn more about health care programs and providers in their neighborhood.

“Helping connect health care organizations to people is part of making a long-term investment in community health that we all benefit from,” said Andrade. “Alderperson Rodriguez and I are excited to help make this happen.”
