Free Shredding & Prescription Take Back Event

Document Destruction with Shred-It will bring a Mobile Shredding Truck to shred any of your unwanted documents. The shredded paper will then be recycled.

Any documents that you no longer need or want but might contain personal or private information. Examples include:

- Bank statements
- Outdated medical records
- Old Pay stubs
- Old bills or receipts
- Credit card offers
- Tax returns older than seven years

Please make sure to remove all paper clips, plastic binders, or anything that might obstruct the shredder off of your paper documents before coming!


The Cook County Sheriff’s prescription drug take back program provides a free service for collecting unused and expired prescription drugs.
The program has been in operation since 2012 at the direction of the Cook County Sheriff. The program has operated with the approval of the

U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (Region V) since its inception. It is free, safe and responsible.

Dispose of unused and expired prescription drugs responsibly. Don't toss or flush.

*Note, they do not accept liquid medications, medical devices, or paraphernalia.
